The current editorial publication is a separate team and is NOT affiliated with UCM, the former DSA Research Group, any of the named individual researchers who worked there, OpenNebula, GridWay, OpenNebula Systems S.L., or any other organization associated with the former DSA group’s projects.
What this site is
DSA Research is an editorial commentary site on distributed-systems and cloud-infrastructure research. We publish editorial commentary on topics including:
- The academic-research origins of contemporary cloud-management approaches
- Distributed-systems and federated-infrastructure research history
- Grid computing and DRMAA-era standards
- Virtual machine scheduling, resource orchestration, and IaaS architecture as research subjects
- Computer-science-history perspectives on how academic research became production infrastructure
We discuss publicly-documented open-source projects — including OpenNebula and GridWay — as research subjects in the historical and contemporary literature. Those references are for editorial commentary purposes only. They do NOT imply that we author, maintain, govern, or speak for any of those projects.

Llorente, Rubén S. Montero, Eduardo Huedo, and others) were removed on 2026-06-15 — using real named individuals’ identities on a CT-acquired domain, without their consent, is a right-of-publicity concern that this site does not assume. The named researchers’ published academic work remains accessible via the ACM Digital Library, DBLP, their institutional pages, and their own profiles — that’s the right place to research their work.
A note on the URL structure
The site’s URL structure (/research/, /projects/, /publications/, /blog/, /downloads/) is inherited from the prior owner. Content at those URLs is CT-authored editorial commentary — not the former DSA group’s documentation, papers, or internal materials. No prior-owner content is hosted on this site.
